- jiéhūn - 结婚 - get married;
Wǒmen jiéhūn 10 niánle.
我们结婚10 年了。
We have been married for ten years.
Wǒ jiéhūn jié dé wǎn.
我结婚结得晚。
I got married late.
- líhūn - 离婚 - divorce;
Wǒ zuìjìn cái zhīdào tāmen líhūnle.
我最近才知道他们离婚了。
I just learned recently that they have divorced.
Zhè hūn wǒ bùlíle!
这婚我不离了！
I am not leaving this marriage!
- jiànmiàn - 见面 - meet;
Wǒmen jīnglǐ xiǎng hé nǐ jiànjiànmiàn.
我们经理想和你见见面。
Our manager would like to meet you.
Qùnián xiàtiān, wǒ qù běijīng hé lǎo péngyǒu jiànle jiànmiàn.
去年夏天，我去北京和老朋友见了见面。
Last summer, I went to Beijing to meet with old friends.
- gānbēi - 干杯 - cheers; propose a toast;
Zánmen bǎ zhè bēi gànle ba.
咱们把这杯干了吧。
Let's drain the glass dry.
Ràng wǒmen wèi nǐ de chénggōng gānbēi!
让我们为你的成功干杯！
Let us toast your success!
- shuōhuà - 说话 - speak, talk, say;
Zuò zài wǒ shēnbiān hé wǒ shuō shuōhuà, hǎo ma?
坐在我身边和我说说话，好吗？
Sit down beside me and talk to me, will you?
Qǐng yǔnxǔ wǒ bǎ huà shuōwán.
请允许我把话说完。
Please allow me to finish my words.
- liáotiān - 聊天 - chat;
Tā huāle jǐ gè xiǎoshí gēn péngyǒu liáotiān.
她花了几个小时跟朋友聊天。
She spent hours chatting with friends.
Wǒmen liáo qǐ tiān lái cái fāxiàn wǒmen yuánlái shì xiàoyǒu.
我们聊起天来 才发现我们原来是校友。
We started chatting and found out that we were alumni.
- dǎzhé - 打折 - give a discount;
Rúguǒ nǐ mǎi shí gè, tā tōngcháng huì gěi nǐ dǎzhé.
如果你买十个，他通常会给你打折。
He usually give you a discount if you buy 10.
Zhè jiàn yīfú zhēn guì, qǐngwèn néng dǎ jǐ zhé?
这件衣服真贵，请问能打几折？
This dress is really expensive. How much discount will you offer?
- gòuwù - 购物 - go shopping;
Tā qù gòuwù hǎo ràng zìjǐ kāixīn qǐlái.
她去购物好让自己开心起来。
She went shopping to cheer herself up.
Tā měigèyuè dōu yào zài wǎngshàng gòu jǐcì wù.
她每个月都要在网上购几次物。
She does online shopping several times every month.
- jiǎnféi - 减肥 - lose weight;
Tā měitiān dū pǎobù shì wèile jiǎnféi.
她每天都跑步是为了减肥。
She runs everyday in order to lose weight.
Nǐ yòu bù pàng, jiǎn shénme féi!
你又不胖，减什么肥！
You are not fat, why should you lose weight!
