凉州词
王翰 (Wang Han) 唐朝 Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD)
Pútáo měijiǔ yèguāng bēi, yù yǐn pípá mǎ shàng cuī.
葡萄美酒夜光杯,欲饮琵琶马上催。
Zuì wò shāchǎng jūn mò xiào, gǔlái zhēngzhàn jǐ rén huí.
醉卧沙场君莫笑,古来征战几人回。
A Song of Liangzhou
The luminous cups are filled with fine wine,
The music of pipa sounds like urging the soldiers mount and leave immediately.
Oh, do not laugh at us getting drunk and lying on the battlefield.
Since old times, how many soldiers can return alive from battles?
