望海潮
柳永
dōngnán xíngshèng,
东南形胜，
sān wú dūhuì,
三吴都会，
qiántáng zìgǔ fánhuá.
钱塘自古繁华。
yān liǔ huà qiáo,
烟柳画桥，
fēng lián cuì mù,
风帘翠幕，
cēncī shí wàn rénjiā.
参差十万人家。
yún shù rào dī shā,
云树绕堤沙，
nùtāo juǎn shuāng xuě,
怒涛卷霜雪，
tiānqiàn wú yá.
天堑无涯。
shì liè zhūjī,
市列珠玑，
hù yíng luō qǐ,
户盈罗绮，
jìng háoshē.
竞豪奢。
chòng hú dié yǎn qīng jiā.
重湖叠巘清嘉。
yǒu sān qiū guìzǐ,
有三秋桂子，
shílǐ héhuā.
十里荷花。
qiāng guǎn nòng qíng,
羌管弄晴，
líng gē fàn yè,
菱歌泛夜，
xī xī diào sǒu lián wá.
嘻嘻钓叟莲娃。
qiān jí yōng gāo yá.
千骑拥高牙。
chéng zuì tīng xiāo gǔ,
乘醉听箫鼓，
yín shǎng yānxiá.
吟赏烟霞。
yì rì tú jiāng hǎojǐng,
异日图将好景，

Rests in the southeast of country,
The metropolis of three Wu counties,
Qiantang is a prosperous place since ancient time.
Misty willows and painted bridges,
Windshield curtains and colorful screens,
A city of one hundred thousand households.
Lofty trees surround the sandy bank,
Furious billow rolls up the snowy foam,
Qiantang River is boundless.
Pearls are displayed on market,
Families have silk satins and brocades,
More luxurious is what they strive for.
Inner and outer lakes are delicate and rolling mountains are beautiful,
Osmanthus flowers blossom in the third month of autumn,
And ten miles of lotus bloom in summer.
People play Qiang flute at day time,
Paddle and harvest water chestnuts and sing at night,
Old fishermen are smiling and girls picking water chestnuts are laughing.
The officials are escorted by a thousand cavalrymen with banners and flags.
A little tipsy while listening to music,
I write poetry to appreciate the scenery of water and mountain.
Someday I will paint a picture,
To show off this place at the imperial court.
