Cross the Great Yu Mountain
by Song ZhiwenCrossing this ridge I will be really leaving my country,
I stop the small carriage to take the last gaze at the direction of home.
My soul follows the birds flying aloft to the south,
My tears drop when I look at the flowers blossoming toward north.
The mountain rain is just about to stop,
Clouds over the river are turning rosy.
Someday if I am allowed to return to capital Chang An,
No grudges I will hold as Jia Yi did to the town of ChangSha.
