送杜少府之任蜀州
王勃城阙辅三秦,风烟望五津。
与君离别意,同是宦游人。
海内存知己,天涯若比邻。
无为在歧路,儿女共沾巾。
A Farewell to Deputy Magistrate Du to Take Office in Shu Zhou
by Wang Bo (650-676 AD)Capital city is guarded by the three Qin kingdoms,
Through mist and clouds there are five ferries in distance.
That parting sorrow comes to my heart when I see your departure,
For both of us are drifting in officialdom.
Within four seas if you have a bosom friend in heart,
The furthest corner of the world be a neighbor not afar.
Let's not, as our paths part,
Shed tears like the youngsters do.
