滁州西涧

独怜幽草涧边生，
上有黄鹂深树鸣。
春潮带雨晚来急，
野渡无人舟自横。

I have tender affection for the grasses growing by the creek,
And the orioles' singing in the deep woods.
With the rain springtide runs swift in the evening,
At the ferry in the wild a boat is drifting all by itself.
