遣悲怀 (二)
元稹昔日戏言身后意，今朝都到眼前来。
衣裳已施行看尽，针线犹存未忍开。
尚想旧情怜婢仆，也曾因梦送钱财。
诚知此恨人人有，贫贱夫妻百事哀。
Dispelling Sorrow (II)

Today it happens right before my eyes.
Almost all of your clothes have been given out,
I do not have the heart to touch your sewing kits.
For that old feeling I am kind to your maid,
And also burn sacrifice because of the dream of you.
Indeed I know this is the regret everyone has to suffer,
But a couple living in poverty hurt a hundred times more.
