望月怀远
张九龄海上生明月, 天涯共此时。
情人怨遥夜, 竟夕起相思。
灭烛怜光满, 披衣觉露滋。
不堪盈手赠, 还寝梦佳期。
Looking at the Moon and Thinking of Family and Friends Far Away
by Zhang Jiuling (678-740 AD)The bright moon rises up from the sea,
The whole world shares this moment with thee.
I blame the night for being so long,
It brings nostalgia that keeps me up all night long.
I blow out the candles in room, to appreciate that overflowing moonlight,
Put on a gown, I still feel the cold wet of night dew.
I wish I could carry the moonbeams to you with both of my hands,
Return to bed, in dream I hope in dream we can reunite.
