The landscape of borderland has changed in autumn,
Geese are flying to Hengyang without looking back.
The sound of frontier instruments is rising in all directions with the military horn,
In the midst of rolling mountains,
Under the setting sun in hazy desert the solitude city is closing its gates.
A cup of wine drinking to the hometown ten thousands mile away,
Victory has not achieved and date of returning home has not been set.
Melody of Qiang flute lingering in the air, frost covering the ground,
I stay up at night,
For the grey hair of general and the tears of service men.
