In this video, we will read a fable story which comes from the book 《韩非子》 a masterpiece of Chinese Legalism during the Warring States period. This ancient fable speaks of the law of contradiction in classical logic, from which the word "矛盾 contradiction" comes.
The law of contradiction 矛盾律: In classical logic, the law of contradiction states that nothing can both be and not be, e. g. the two propositions "p is the case" and "p is not the case" are mutually exclusive.
